I felt like adding some variation to my wardrobe, so instead of going shopping, I grabbed a fabric marker and some plain white tanktops from my closet. After some brainstorming and poking around on Pinterest, I came up with two designs and got started!
This DIY project is super simple and only requires a few basic tools. And you can go as crazy as you want with your designs. You can go for some nice typography, like I did with my adventure shirt, or do something more personal like my rocket design.
It's best to pick an item of clothing that has a light color, and non-stretchy fabrics are the easiest to draw on. Stretchy fabrics will work as well (my shirts are stretchy) but just take a bit longer to draw on.
What you’ll need: - A plain shirt - Fabric marker - Frixion pen (disappears with heat) or other removable pen/chalk - Iron - Ruler (optional)
If you make one of your own, I'd love to see it! Send me a picture on Instagram @craftswithellen.
